Chaleur

The Chaleur & Restigouche is operated with a Digitrax Super Chief Radio. The main throttle is a Dt-400 radio which is mostly used for programming. I also use one Dt-300 radio throttle, one Dt-100 radio throttle, two Ut-4 radio trotlles and two Ut-1 trottles when needed. All trottles are equipped with a loop that is attached to an whistle holder or identification card holder. These allow operators to drop the throttle without it finding its way on the floor. It also leave the hand free to hold the cards and the uncoupler. I have found that the best operating throttles are the Ut-4R and the Dt-100R or Dt 300R. Eight Up-3 are strategically located around the layout. Until a few years ago, I use to operate the layout in an infrared and you will find a link as to where these were located.

Le Chaleur & Restigouche est contôlé à l'aide d'un sytème "Super Chief Radio" de Digitrax. Je possède plusieurs mannettes dont une Dt-400R, une Dt-100R, une Dt-300R, deux Ut-4R et deux Ut-1. Le Dt-400 sert principalement pour la programmation et les Ut-4R font l'envie de tous les opérateurs. Il y a 8 panneaux Up-3 placés autour du réseau. Toutes le manettes sont munies d'un ovale (attache) qui permet d'attacher un support (support genre à des cartes d'identité) afin de libérer les mains pour l'opération. Ceci permet d'éviter que des manettes se retrouvent sur le plancher et elle libère les mains pour tenir les cartes pour les wagons et l'outil pour détacher ceux-ci.
